Michael Lamb serves as a Senior Advisor for Sperry Van Ness/Stewart Commercial Group, LLC specializing in the sale of investment property as well as retail, office and industrial tenant/landlord representation throughout Southeastern Michigan. David Coupe serves as a Senior Advisor at Sperry Van Ness specializing in Self Storage and Investment properties. Coupe joined Sperry Van Ness as an experienced Entrepreneur who has spent the past two decades focused on investments of two kinds – Equity Derivatives and Real Estate.
Doug’s career in commercial real estate began in 1988. His experience includes investment sales, leasing, and property management. Doug is a two-time Partner Circle Award Winner, this is the highest award Sperry Van Ness gives to its agents.He has also received the prestigious Team Player of The Year Award.
Jeff Ottmar serves as an Advisor for Sperry Van Ness, and is a member of the SVN National Self Storage Specialty Practice Group specializing in the purchase and sale of Self Storage properties. Since 1994, Jeff has participated in the development and acquisition of over 75 Self Storage properties valued at over $400 million and more recently has brokered over $30 million in commercial transactions.
Jeff began his real estate career with industry leader Shurgard Storage, starting as a project manager in the Seattle region, serving the entire west coast of the country. In 1999, Jeff moved to the Long Island office of Shurgard where he developed Self Storage facilities in the New York City and Philadelphia markets. Jeff moved to Safeguard Storage in 2002 as Vice President of Development on the east coast and served in that position until 2007. Since 2008, Jeff has brokered numerous transactions in Washington State and Idaho including exclusive representation of McDonald’s and deals involving Trader Joe’s, Subway, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, AutoZone and Self Storage properties among others. Jeff is a member of the Self-Storage Association (SSA), the national trade organization representing Self Storage owners, operators, and vendors within the industry and a member of the Washington SSA and other state self-storage associations.
Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, where he majored in Finance and minored in Real Estate. Jeff resides with his wife and 3 children in the Spokane, Washington area.
John Wilkins, Jr
John Wilkins is an Advisor at Sperry Van Ness – South Charlotte specializing in the sale and leasing of retail, office, land and industrial/commercial properties. As a North Carolina native, he has a strong knowledge of the Charlotte area and its surrounding markets. John holds a North Carolina Brokers license.
Prior to joining SVN – South Charlotte, John was a Yacht Broker servicing the North and South Carolina markets for a national yacht brokerage firm.
An Indianapolis native, Morris moved to Sarasota in 2002 and quickly established himself in several real estate investment and development companies. Morris has been actively involved in commercial real estate for more than 20 years and has extensive personal experience in the areas of commercial property development, multi-family development, and out lot build-to-suit. He is also actively engaged in retail and office investment property analysis, acquisition, sales, leasing and management.
Prior to moving to Sarasota, Morris was a Principal with Competitive Government Strategies (CGS), a professional services firm dedicated to helping governmental and not-for- profit clients improve performance. Previously, Morris spent three years serving as a senior project manager for the Enterprise Development Division of the Mayor’s Office in the City of Indianapolis. In that capacity, he was responsible for coordinating many of the City’s competitive government, privatization and managed competition initiatives. Prior to that, Morris spent two years in Washington, D.C. serving as Executive Assistant to United States Senator Richard G. Lugar.
Morris was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Captain and he also earned the distinction of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Morris enjoys water and snow skiing, shorter triathlons, running, and time with his family. He currently resides in Sarasota with his wife Lisa and their two children.
A 28-year Sarasota Resident, J. Chris Malkin, joined Sperry Van Ness in Sarasota, Florida in May of 2009, and is now a member of the Statewide Sperry Van Ness Florida Commercial Real Estate Advisors, with business partner Ashley Bloom.
With more than 20 years involvement in the commercial real estate sector nationally, as an investor and a vendor to JMB Realty, Urban Retail Properties, Simon Properties & General Growth to name a few and as a developer along the Gulf Coastal region, Chris brings knowledge and experience that strengthens and elevates Sperry Van Ness within the company and along Florida’s Gulf and beyond. Michael B. Hubley serves as a Senior Advisor for Sperry Van Ness/Interstate Brokers in Atlanta, GA. Michael has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Mr. Hubley came to Atlanta, GA in 1998 after extensive commercial real estate experience in the Richmond, VA and Denver, CO markets. Michael obtained his Bachelors of Science in Liberal Arts at Indiana University and attended the Indiana University of Law in 1967-68. He has done graduate level work at Butler University in 1969 and has continued his education in real estate through the CCIM program.

Jason Wilcox, CCIM, a Seattle native and successful business owner, has more than 20 years in-depth experience in investment real estate analysis and brokerage of multifamily investments and commercial real estate transactions. He has successfully brokered a number of complex transactions, including the purchase and sale of troubled assets requiring lien holder and probate court approvals, as well as a variety of real estate transactions involving international investors. Desiree holds an LL.M (Master of Laws) in Finance from the Institute for Law and Finance in Frankfurt, Germany and a J.D. from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law. Desiree has been licensed to practice law in New York State since 2008.
Desiree previously worked in Moscow, Russia as a legal associate in the area of banking and finance, including real estate finance. For the past several years Desiree has been advising in the area of distressed property sales.
Hans W. Hardisty
Hans W. Hardisty serves as an Advisor with Sperry Van Ness Deegan-Collins Commercial Associates (SVN-DCCA), located in Kingston, N.Y. and specializes in the purchase and sale of self-storage facilities across the tri-state area. Hans is a member of the New York State Self-Storage Association, a CCIM Candidate, holds an MBA, and has extensive development and management experience. Within the Hudson Valley Region, he also focuses on the sale of multi-family properties, and works with landlords and tenants leasing retail and office space.
Prior to joining SVN-DCCA, Hardisty worked for Herb Redl Properties as the Business Development Officer. This locally owned, privately-held company purchases, develops, manages, and operates premium self-storage, commercial, and residential space across the Hudson Valley. With holdings of 1,300,000 square feet, Hardisty made big impacts within the 13-facility self-storage portfolio and the commercial leasing division. Within the self-storage division, he developed comprehensive feasibility and valuation pro formas for expansion, development, and acquisition projects. He also played a key role in the launch of the companies’ tenant insurance program. During this time, Hardisty was charged with marketing, leasing, and overseeing the build out of tenant space across a dozen locations. Hardisty was able to significantly reduce vacancy and maintain market rental rates, while simultaneously increasing retention during the Great Recession years.
Hardisty earned his BA in Economics from Gettysburg College and an MBA with a focus on Real Estate and Entrepreneurship from The George Washington University. In between his studies, he worked as a Program Officer for an Economic Development Company in New York, NY. Hardisty grew up in the self-storage and real estate business and has taken on most of the countless tasks and efforts that arise from a landlord, developer, and manager’s perspective. Adam Dearborn is a native of St.Catharines, Ontario and has extensive knowledge of the Golden Horseshoe Real Estate market. Adam’s major focus is investment real estate, including multi-family and self-storage. Adam has been involved in Investment Real Estate since 2003 when he began to build his own Real Estate portfolio. Since then he has continued to purchase properties ranging from Student housing to multi-family buildings. Adam’s major focus is on building of high levels of client loyalty of buyers and sellers alike. He has built a reputation for providing trustworthy, well-researched advice to his clients and is committed to providing the best possible service. As a licensed Realtor since 2004, Adam has been involved in Real Estate transactions ranging from single family homes to recently completing a $52 million multi-family portfolio sale.
Adam lives close to Niagara Falls and with the main industry being Tourism Adam saw his future being in this sector. For post-secondary education Adam enrolled in Niagara College and Majored in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After graduating, Adam accepted a supervisor position at a local casino, after a one year stint in this role Adam completed his Real Estate License and has been a full time realtor ever since.
