Douglas E. Emerson serves as an associate advisor for Sperry Van Ness specializing in the marketing, sale, disposition and acquisition of self storage investment properties and commercial investment properties in New York State. With over 15 years of brokerage and property management experience, Emerson is well qualified in advising clients with various strategies for buying, selling and achieving financial goals.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Emerson spent over 20 years serving as a managing partner for various investment properties including industrial, commercial and self storage assets.

Emerson is a member of the New York Commercial Association of Realtors. He has extensive experience in understanding financial risks and rewards for real estate investments and the complexities of negotiating a sale or purchase that will close.

Emerson received his Bachelor’s of Science from Western Kentucky University in Agriculture and Business. Emerson currently resides in Lockport, New York.
