Peter Ingersoll

Peter Ingersoll is a managing director for Sperry Van Ness, specializing in the sale of self storage property in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. With more than 22 years of commercial real estate experience, Ingersoll is knowledgeable in complex real estate investments, land development, multifamily construction, 1031 exchanges, and equity and debt financing.

Prior to affiliating with Sperry Van Ness, Ingersoll served as a multifamily specialist for Cornish & Carey Commercial where he received the Rookie of the Year award in 2002. Previously, he was a regional manager providing site acquisition, design, entitlements and construction of telecommunications facilities throughout the San Francisco Bay area. For 10 years, he was a vice president of Philadelphia National Bank and a consultant to the banking industry.

Ingersoll currently serves on the Board of Directors of the California Self Storage Association and is chair of the Owner Networking effort. He is also an active member of the Washington Self-Storage Association, the Arizona Self-Storage Association and is a core member of the Sperry Van Ness National Self Storage Team; the Wharton Club of Northern California; The Wharton/Penn Real Estate Group of California; the Northern California Chapter of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute; the Investment Marketing Forum; the Oakland Association of Realtors; the California Association of Realtors; and the National Association of Realtors.

Ingersoll is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, ranked as the number one business school in the world, with a degree in real estate finance.

Ingersoll lives in the Bay area with his wife and enjoys sailing, writing and jazz music.
